Coco Peat

Coco peat is a multi-purpose 100% natural medium made out of coconut husk. The fibrous coconut husk is pre-washed, machine dried, sieved and made free from sand and other contaminations such as animal & plant residue. It is a very good alternative to traditional Peat Moss and Rock wool. Its air-filled porosity & high-water holding capacity makes it, an ideal growing medium for the plant crops. It is 100% Organic and Eco-friendly, free from soil borne pathogen and weed. It has a pH of 5.5 - 6.7, E.C Level < 1 mS/cm is ideal for plant growth.

A great medium for starting seeds or propagating cuttings, coir is a biodegradable peat alternative made from coconut husk fibres, a renewable by-product of the coconut harvest. Used extensively in garden centers, plant nurseries and hardware stores. These compressed pellets are particularly convenient because you don’t need soil or pots. Just drop the pellet into warm water and it expands to several times its original, making it ready for planting immediately. When the plants have grown to size, you can drop the whole thing directly into the ground or into a planter.

GROW BAGS

Grow bags are made up of a special blend of coir pith and chips, designed to provide the ideal air to water ratio for hydroponics.

Grow bags are packed in high density, co-extruded plastic bags, which are UV treated at least for a minimum of 2 years.

Another advantage is that they are easy to transport before re-hydration and can be stocked for months as they are compressed dry.

Benefits / Advantages of COCO PEAT:

  • It increases aeration, water retention. and its Improves soil texture, productivity & reduces root diseases. It has great-oxygenation properties which is important for healthy root development.
